Dear Chinese community,
ACSSY is presenting the first of series of talks on Chinese classics given by senior lector Su Wei from East Asian Languages and Literatures. The talk will focus on Zhang Chonghe, the Min-Guo Style,and the heritage of "historical elegance" in Chinese culture.
Ms. Zhang Chonghe is a Yalie, a well-known master of Chinese calligraphy and kunqu, and widely known as "the last talented woman from the Min-Guo Period". Su Laoshi will share stories about her, resonating with stories from the best-seller book "The Four Sisters from He Fei" (by Annping Chin). He will extend the topic to his thinkings on the Min-Guo Style, and the heritage of historical elegance in Chinese culture.
